Our Vision
We envision a world where children feel safe in their bodies, move with confidence, and stay connected to nature and their own inner rhythms.

Through playful movement, sensory‑rich environments, and developmentally informed practice, children learn to trust their bodies, build the foundations for learning and regulation, and grow confidence, curiosity, and care for themselves, others, and the world around them.
Our Values
At Grounded Motion Therapy, we believe children grow best when they feel empowered in their bodies, connected to themselves and others, and supported to move through the world with a regulated nervous system.

empowerment
Our programs are built on gentle, evidence‑informed movement experiences that honour each child’s pace, strengths and individuality. Through play, sensory exploration and connection-based support, we help children build confidence, capability and a deep sense of safety in their own bodies, foundations that shape learning, wellbeing and lifelong resilience.
We celebrate the full spectrum of human experience and welcome everyone, just as they are. We proudly stand as allies of the LGBTQIA+ community. We strive to create spaces where every child, parent, and team member feels safe, respected, and able to show up as their full, authentic selves. Trust and openness and safety are at the heart of how we move, play, and grow together.
What Grounds Us?
Rewilding Movement
Reconnecting to Nature
Regulating from the Ground Up

Modern life often limits how children move. Flat floors, screens and structured routines restrict the natural ways their bodies want to explore. Rewilding movement brings that freedom back.
Across all our programs we invite children to crawl, climb, balance, jump and roll. These instinctive patterns build strength, coordination, confidence and sensory integration.
We weave in playful cross‑lateral movements that strengthen communication between the brain’s hemispheres, supporting focus, concentration, and cognitive development in a way that feels powerful and joyful.
Nature offers what indoor spaces cannot - shifting textures, uneven ground, open skies and endless sensory input. Whether outdoors or bringing nature‑based principles into centre‑based and 1:1 sessions, we use nature as a co‑regulator. When children move in nature, they slow down, tune in, and come alive.
As they build a relationship with the natural world, they begin to care for it. They learn they are not separate from nature, they are part of it. This connection fosters regulation, belonging and a quiet sense of responsibility.
When a child’s body feels steady, safe, and supported, their nervous system can shift from survival into learning, social engagement and emotional growth.

Across all settings, we use movement, play, and connection to help children develop the foundations for regulation. We introduce simple mindfulness practices (breathwork, grounding, noticing sensations) that help children access calm and recover more easily.

Over time, they begin to trust their bodies as a safe place to return to. Every session is designed to nurture both the body and the nervous system, helping children move, feel and grow with balance from the inside out.
